Course Overview
Microsoft 365 Copilot in 2026 is no longer a single chat assistant — it spans the core apps, Copilot Pages, SharePoint and Teams agents, Copilot Studio agent building, and the Copilot Control System that governs all of it. Before any organisation can deploy Copilot safely, a specific set of identity, data governance, and tenant configuration controls must be in place. This course walks Australian IT practitioners through the complete pre-deployment control stack, current to the 2026 release waves and aligned to the ASD Blueprint Required tier and ACSC Essential Eight. You will learn how Microsoft 365 Copilot reasons over tenant data through Microsoft Graph, why oversharing poses a critical pre-deployment risk, and how to configure sensitivity labels, data loss prevention policies, Restricted SharePoint Search, and the Copilot Control System to govern what Copilot can see and do. The course covers the current agent baseline — Copilot Pages, SharePoint agents, Teams agents, and user-built Agent Builder agents — and explains how to apply governance controls to each agent type before broader agentic rollout.
